This paper describes the key to solving the hunger problem in the United States. It discusses a food pantry in Vancouver, Washington and how it works. Despite the booming economy and bountiful agriculture production, Congress must provide new legislative incentives to keep food bank shelves from becoming depleted program. Food banks are here to stay. They are not some temporary fixtures of American life, as bread lines were during the Depression. However how are food banks going to be kept going and how are we going to be sure that people get enough to eat? It seems that the best approach I have seen is a food cooperative sponsored by Phyllis Morley and Marianne Trueblood in Vancouver, Washington. If all food banks followed this path I do not believe anyone would be hungry unless they chose to be. This may also be used as s cause and effect or process essay.
