This paper is a personal opinion and position paper on the responses from the nation, media, and special interest groups to the terrorist attacks upon the U.S. on September 11th. It discusses the role of the NRA in promoting the internal security of the nation by helping individuals and communities to both learn how to manage arms and to protect ourselves. The paper concludes that the opinions held by all groups are valid, regardless of the extremes, but that they are tempered by each other through our democratic system. 3 pgs. No sources listed.
