This paper will attempt to analyze the life and achievements of the figure of Moses. It will be seen that the Biblical account may be examined in light of current historical knowledge of the Egypt and the Middle East around the time that the exodus of the Jews is believed to have occurred. It will be argued that, although any account of Moses life must be - in the terminology of one historian - "conjectural history", we may nonetheless perceive through the fog of scripture and history the outlines of the man behind the myth of Moses. 6 pgs. 14 f/c. 5b.
