Money and success The myth of individual opportunity
This paper briefly explores the myth of financial success within the United States. Such myths are highly inappropriate when characterized to the conditions which are found within the modern United States. The existing conditions in which the majority of Americans live and work are a sharp contrast to what is portrayed within the myth mindset. Indeed, as statistics demonstrate that a growing number of Americans particularly children are sliding towards poverty, the prevalence of the myth is highly disconcerting.
