Organized crime could be called a result of the Depression, the post World War I period, the surge of the immigrants from all over Europe, had resulted in an influx of a varied groups from all walks of life and from all social strata. Coming to America, a land of opportunities, to make their dreams come true, many fell victim to the rising crime rate and forming gangs and mobs or mobsters.
