Constructing New Socio-Cultural Spaces: Interviewing Outside Cultural Assumptions
Working under the assumption that new cultural forms are facilitated through the innovations of youth, this paper will examine the way in which new cultural forms are created through the interactions in a multicultural setting. With differences of gender, race, ethnicity, and sexuality continuing to be juxtaposed in modern Western culture (especially among youth), examining the way ideologies interact will reveal much about how culture is developing. The bulk of this paper will be based on an interview between the author and a friend of a differing cultural background.
