This paper will discuss the many aspects of psychology that are present in Hamlet, Prince of Denmark and As You Like It by William Shakespeare. By using disguises in these plays, Hamlet and Rosalind offer interesting ruses to help learn what is loyal and what is treachery. In using love madness and insanity to conquer their enemies and fears, they offer a unique way for drama scholars to understand how power struggles accrue in Shakespeare's masterly theater.
