This paper answers a series of questions in archaeology on the effects of pyrotechnology on the prehistoric production of pottery, metal, and stone tools, and on the study of microwear, showing how microwear studies allow for close analysis of the way tools are used to reveal the purpose of the tool, how it was made, different techniques involved in manufacture and use, and so to build a better picture of prehistoric life.
