Political Science: The Main Roles That the United Nations Plays In International Politics.
This paper examines the main roles that the United Nations plays in international politics. Two of its main roles are peacekeeping as well as the protection of human rights and the promotion of social welfare. However, many factors, such as the nature of this particular organization and the development of a global economy seem to threaten its ability to fulfil its objectives. It is recommended that the United Nations promote its strengths and attempt to increase its flexibility in order to successfully adapt to these changes. 10 pgs. 12 f/c. 9b.
