The purpose of this short paper will be to examine Karl Marx's critique of capitalist society, particularly his understanding of human identity within this context. We will see, through the course of this paper, that the resolution to the problems of capitalist society, which Marx outlines, are only to be found in the higher reaches of human nature, that is, human consciousness. 4 pgs. 4 f/c. 0b.
