The paper will describe a number of issues related to Heider's Attribution Theory in the context of modern nursing practice. It is estimated that this theory provides a valuable contribution to the nursing field in that it describes the causes for many actions and behaviors that nurses may express during their work activities, which leads to variable patient outcomes.
