This four-page undergraduate paper examines the impact of assisted suicide on nursing practice. The author examines recent and relevant medical and legal literature on the topic of euthanasia, presents the pros and cons of this issue as they relate to nursing practice, discusses arguments for and against euthanasia and how they affect nursing practice, and concludes that the right of a person to die should take precedence over other conflicting rights. This conclusion affirming the right of a person for euthanasia is supported by citing appropriate sources.
