Innovations in Drama: Playwrights and the Attempt to Shake the Audience.
This paper is a critique of the effectiveness of innovation in playwriting. Three plays are addressed: "The Orestria" by Aeschylus, "Mandrogola" by Machiavelli, and "Mother Courage" by Brecht.
