This paper reviews the book "Founding Brothers" by J. J. Ellis. The book takes the position that the character of seven "founding fathers" resulted in dramatic change within the American political philosophy. In turn, this influenced change among the colonists. The paper concludes in noting that Ellis identified only stories which supported his thesis.
