This paper will analyze the novel far from the Far from the Maddening Crowd by Thomas Hardy. The essence of this paper will be to uncover the themes, as told by the author, of Victorian women within the scope of the book. By analyzing certain aspects of this literature, we can understand the way that women were treated in the 19th century in the perception of a gentleman writer of the period.
