This paper discusses the problem of child abductions in the United States. Statistics are cited to establish how widespread abduction has become, and prominent cases such as the Polly Klaas kidnapping are examined. The paper concludes with discussion of preventive measures which can be taken and laws which need to be passed to ameliorate the problem. 7 pgs. 6 f/c. 6b.
