This paper looks at the social, economic and, in particular, the legal aspects of Sunday retail shopping. Sunday shopping has been a controversial subject across Canada. Each province has dealt with it slightly differently. These differences will be highlighted and the possible reasons behind them. Many interest groups from the buying public, retailers, the church and the government have strong views on Sunday shopping.
