First Nations Affairs in Post-Confederation History.
This paper discusses Two articles found in Reappraisals in Canadian History explaining some less usual dimensions of First Nations affairs in post-Confederation history. Thomas Flanagan's "Aboriginal Title" presents some of the historical realities that continue to shape matters of access to land in several of the Canadian provinces. Donald N. Spragge's "Confronting Riel and Completing the CNR" offers yet another revision of the life of an extraordinary man and different political developments which governed his fate. 6 pgs. 3 f/c. 1b.
