Canada's Action Plan ~ Supporting Strong Communities, People, and Economies.
This paper addresses the issue that Canada's Aboriginal communities have distinct political, economic, social, and health related concerns. For the most part, the imposition of a non-Aboriginal system; i.e., one that has been designed for individuals with inherently different needs, is widely viewed as highly inappropriate, and historically ineffective and damaging. The federal government is making efforts to patch up this string of misfortunes in its Aboriginal Action Plan. 4 pgs. 7 f/c. 2b.
