I believe that in my company the theory most clearly represented is the contingency theory. For example, all of our personnel records, databases and work in progress are stored on computer files in the company. However, to prepare for contingencies such as fire, all files are backed up every Friday and one set of copies are stored off site, while another set of copies are stored on site in the safe.
