A Comparison of Use and Applicability Between Macintosh and PC Systems in a Departmental Setting
This paper provides a basic comparison of the Macintosh and the PC (e.g.: Microsoft) platforms for use in an educational department. The department assessed is a computer laboratory for student use. The inclusion of specific platforms within a departmental setting needs to be evaluated prior to the development and implementation processes. It is necessary to approach the hardware and the software of the platforms to see which is best suited to the needs of the department.
