This paper discusses the history and relevance on Carl von Clausewitz (1780-1831) to contemporary military thinking. First a biography is provided and then the contexts of his famous book, "On War," are described with regards to tactic, strategy, policy, and how these ideas continue to have significance in contemporary military realms. 7-pages, bibliography lists 4 sources.
