Whatever the reason, whatever the factors, Western civilizations have been fascinated by Eastern culture for decades. However, when the mysticism is put to rest, the varying religious practices among the Chinese and the uses for their temples gravitate toward one major underlining goal- unification of faith and charity. Chinese religious temples vary in artistic style and function. However, the main function of each temple regardless of its style or many uses is to continue the chain of faith and charity found in one of the “mother” temples in the homeland.
