James Watt has the distinction of being classified as an inventor when in fact he did not invent the steam engine he is famous for, he re-vamped somebody elses. However, it can not be disputed that his modifications to the steam engine greatly assisted in the mining and the cotton industries. This paper tells a little about his life, his work and what uses the steam engine he modified were used for.
