Economics: Understanding Unemployment in the United States for 2004
This paper reveals that many middle and upper class jobs in the information technology field are being imported overseas to cheap foreign labor markets. Also, technology advances are making human labor obsolete in the communications and manufacturing industry. Without human labor many companies make greater profits, and are not willing to pay higher wages for American laborers.
