Reaction to Paul Gonzales's "Appropriation of Culture"
In his article, Appropriation of Culture, Paul D. Gonzales attempts to convince readers that it is racist to use titles or images of Native Americans as sports mascots and that this racism should be confronted. Ultimately, Gonzales argues convincingly that even the tiniest incidence of racism must be rooted out and opposed. As Gonzales points out, Today we can admit we know better (2).
