Film Analysis: Patriarchal, Class, and Race in the Films Crooklyn and Legally Blonde
This paper will discuss the various issues of race, class and patriarchal society in the films Crooklyn by Spike Lee and Legally Blonde by Robert Luketic. By acknowledging that both Troy and Elle are similar 'princess' characters in these movies, we can see the racial and class differences that make them ultimately different in the advantages for creating phallocentric female archetypes for patriarchal values within American society.
